The 60 Second Rule in action.
The 60 Second Rule is the name given to the spam defence mechanism that forces users to wait 60 seconds between every post. Moderators, TBG Team members and other high-level users can bypass this rule (They have only 1 second post cooldown, whereas New TBGers must wait 120 seconds before posting again. (Formerly 180 Seconds.)
In games[]
The 60 Second Rule is a key part of counting games as it prevents the games from becoming too easy by users repeatedly posting. The 60 Second Rule is also sometimes used in games with the aim being to post several times, but leaving only sixty seconds between each post, such as in Post In A Row.
Moderators and TBG Team members, despite not having an official 60 Second Rule, are generally still required to wait 60 seconds between posts when playing counting games.
